For the next few weeks I will be working with Rathbone Training organisation to teach sewing and up cycling skills to a group of teen Mums. I am using Zero Waste Scotland's "Love Your Clothing" campaign as the backbone of the teaching materials, which is all about buying less new products, extending the life of clothing and disposing of it appropriately.

I am amazed at how quickly the women got it and how well considering that the majority have never sewn before.

I also have the privilege of having textile artist Shirley McLauchlin on board as a volunteer. She is an amazing communicator and has inspired the women to get stitching.
